Dogwood Azalea Festival

During the 45th annual Dogwood Azalea Festival, the Historical Society will host the Home Tour on Thursday and Friday from 1 to 5 pm.  Three private homes plus the  MCHS house will be open for touring at a cost of $15.  The Historical Society will also be open on Saturday, 10-4 and Sunday, 1-4.  We will be premiering the large vintage collection of clothing belonging to one of Charleston's early families, Col. Paul Moore and his wife, Margaret Stephens Moore.  The articles represent the 1890's thru the 1920's  and include many items purchased on their year long honeymoon in Europe.  This is in addition to many of our other vintage pieces which are on permanent display.  The Picnic on the Porch is available on Thursday and Friday from 11-2pm for $8.  Lunch includes ham or turkey sandwich, spring salad mix with cranberries and oranges, drink and dessert.  All food is prepared on site.  Tickets may be purchased at the MCHS.  For group reservation, please contact us in advance thru this sight.
